Education Discipline Policy
Student Behavior:
The religious education classes will take place in an atmosphere of
learning and within a Christian setting. Each
student is expected to show respect for the catechist and fellow students as
well as any other person involved in the program.
Each student is also expected to show respect for the property of St.
Anthony’s School and the property of the students and teachers of the school.
Students are asked to arrive on time and prepared for class.
Students may not be disruptive to the class, disrespectful to teachers
and staff or become a distraction at 1.
Upon the first incident – a conference will be held
between the teacher and student. 2.
Second incident – Teacher/Director calls parent,
student sees Director. 3.
Third incident – A catechist may dismiss a student
from class for uncooperative behavior. The
student will be defined as a discipline problem if, in the judgment of the
teacher, the behavior is disruptive to the learning atmosphere of the class.
Parents will be called to pick up the student from the office.
A conference with the parents, students, and the Director will be held at
this time. 4.
If disruptive behavior continues, students may be
asked to leave the program for the remainder of the current year, and return to
repeat the year. |
